My most awesome Valentine's Day present ever came unexpectedly today. I felt the baby kick while I was lying in the room waiting on the doctor to come in! It was the most amazing feeling ever, and there was no denying what it was! It probably kicked around 7 or 8 times. Now I'm determined to go feel it kick again. :)
Everything went well at the doctor. She said it all looked "perfect." Why, it's my child. Of course it's perfect. ;) When she was heading out of the room she said, "Alright and we'll get you to make an appointment in 3 or 4 weeks and we'll try and find out the gender of this baby!" My heart dropped into my toes. Our appt was in TWO weeks, not 3 or 4! I carefully reminded her that her nurse practitioner had told me to make it for 2 weeks from now. She said that would be fine to continue that appt, so I was truly relieved.
I had blood drawn for the quad screen; results from that take approximately 2 weeks. She said no news is good news, so maybe they'll know something at my next appt.
Heartbeat was strong and in the 150s...and little one wouldn't stay in one spot very long. :)
So...all is good on the homefront! Now if only the next two weeks would hurry up!

Enjoy every single kick and roll...even when it keeps you up in the middle of the night. There were many things I loved about being pregnant, but feeling those movements was my favorite by far. How fun!
