Happy 20 Months, Drew!

Here we are in the 20-something months! I've gotta start planning your birthday party soon. Goodness, boy! You are so much fun. You're persistent, loving, tough, sweet, busy, and totally fun.

You are so funny when we go to other people's houses; you immediately scope out their laundry rooms! You really have a love for washers and dryers. Oh, and microwaves. You run around a room begging until someone holds you up to play with the microwave. Little manipulative boy! If I ever break out the vacuum cleaner while you are awake, you are all over it!

Your favorite new thing is Veggie Tales. You watch it once a day usually. We're actually watching "His Cheeseburger" on VT sing alongs as I type this. It's the only movie that really holds your attention. I want to shake the hand (or kiss the face) of whomever invented this show. It gives me time to get ready in the morning or make dinner in the evening. We need a copy of every sing along VT has made. Seriously.

One of my favorite new things you do is try to lead songs with your hands--whether we're in church with congregational singing or in front of the TV watching Veggie Tales. It's so precious, and makes me think about you leading singing when you're a little older. So sweet!

You are FINALLY starting to attempt to repeat words. I love hearing your words and look forward to you being able to articulate your feelings and wants. I think it will make it much less frustrating for both of us! I adore when we finish saying our prayers at night and you say, "Jesus." It just melts me each time. I hope you always have a heart for the Lord. That is the most important thing to me!

Eating is still a chore! One night you will scarf down half a chicken breast and green beans. The next day you act as if I'm trying to poison you with the exact same food. Peanut butter and banana sandwiches and pb&j sandwiches are almost always a shoe-in when you refuse to eat much at all. I took my friend Audrey's recommendation and started you on V8 juice (we need more coupons for this!) and you love it! I'm so glad cause we need those veggies to get in you somehow! We have no problem with most fruits--you LOVE them!

You're so much fun, Drew! Always full of life. Always smiling. And ALWAYS into something! You keep me busy, but I wouldn't change a thing. I love you with all my heart!

Love,
Mommy

I think we now own every Veggie Tales sing-along they have ever made.... Jessica is a huge fan!!!! My absolute favorite story is Madame Blueberry, a sad blueberry who goes to StuffMart to buy all of the things that will make her truly happy....but then realizes that things do not make you happy.....a happy heart is a thankful heart! Yet another way that veggies are good for your kid!

I'm going to have to copy you on the V8 juice...Eli doesn't eat enough veggies either. I'm going to have to try some Veggie Tales movies...Eli's never watched one. Happy 20 months, Drew!!!

I am impressed that he will drink V8 juice!

Layton was obsessed with washers and dryers when he was 2 and it lasted until he was 3. Going to Lowes was seriously his favorite thing because of all the front loaders HA!

Age 2 is SO much fun. Get ready!!

Happy 20 months to your cutie pie! He's adorable:)

Just wanted to stop back by to say thank you so much for your prayers. I've already talked to my husband about the whole SAHM thing and was surprised by his enthusiasm, so now we're both praying, thinking, and planning seriously about it. Thanks again for your encouraging words. I can't tell you how much difference it made to hear it coming from a fellow nurse.
