Apple Braid Recipe

If you're looking for a fairly easy, yummy recipe that can be eaten at showers, for breakfast, or dessert, you've found your match!

Can you see the picture clearly? It says:
Apple Braid
2 packages crescent rolls (NOT the super thick kind)
2 apples peeled and chopped (we prefer Granny Apples)
3-8oz. cream cheese (we use 8oz)
2T-6T sugar (yeah, we use 6T)
Cinnamon (optional)
*Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes

Here are your ingredients. You'll either need one of these round stone pans or a regular pizza pan.

Chop your apples up into small bites. If you get them too large, they won't get done in the specified cooking time.

They should look about like this. You might have more if you don't have a 2 year old apple snatcher!

Mix your cream cheese and sugar separately. Add it to your apples.

Now you want to open your crescent rolls and separate them into their respective triangles. Then you want to lay them on your round pan like this:

See how they're lapping over one another and the long tips are hanging down? No reason to strive for perfection here. Just make sure they lap over well. Do this for each one until it looks like this....

Now start adding your apple/cream cheese/sugar mixture like this, spreading evenly.

Until it looks like this....

You're almost done! Now you want to fold the "hangy downy" pieces of crescent rolls over your apples and gently tuck the ends so they stay in place...

There's your product right before putting in the oven. Wasn't that simple? Now just bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes...

Now get yourself a big glass of chocolate milk and enjoy!
