He is Faithful

Just a note to our blog friends: we found out last Tuesday that our precious baby had gone to be with Jesus. The Lord held our hands the entire way through and he has comforted our hearts in so many beautiful ways and given us a peace we can't comprehend. He is binding our wounds and is remaining close. He's never left our side. These verses and song have helped a lot:

Tenth Avenue North- Times (heard the chorus on the way home from the doctor's office. it was so comforting at that moment and even now)

well My love is over, it's underneath
it's inside, it's in between,
these times you're healing
and when your heart breaks
the times that you feel like you've fallen from grace
the times you're hurting
the times that you heal
the times you go hungry and are tempted to steal
in times of confusion and chaos and pain
I'm there in your sorrow under the weight of your shame
I'm there through your heartache
I'm there in the storm
My love I will keep you by My power alone
I dont care where you've fallen, where you have been
I'll never forsake you
My LOVE never ends, it never ends

Lamentations 3:22-24 (The day after everything was done, this verse echoed in my heart.)

22 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”

Psalm 34: 15, 17-20

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous

and his ears are attentive to their cry;...
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;

he delivers them from all their troubles.

18The Lord is close to the brokenhearted

and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19A righteous man may have many troubles,

but the Lord delivers him from them all;

20he protects all his bones,

not one of them will be broken.

Lamentations 3:22-24

22 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”

Hebrews 13:5-6

“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”

6 So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”

Lamentations 3
32 Though he brings grief, he will show compassion,
so great is his unfailing love.
33 For he does not willingly bring affliction
or grief to anyone.

Thank you for your prayers, sweet friends. God is good. All the time.

I just stumbled onto your blog, and saw this post. I have experienced what you are going through, and it is a great comfort to know we will see and be able to hold our baby one day in heaven. And I too love Tenth Avenue Norths song Times.... It is very comforting. God bless!
