Hakuna Matata!

Tear jerking, awe inspiring, amazing, life-like, mesmerizing, entertaining, magical--all words to describe The Lion King Broadway production Saturday night. When Deda said this was a once in a lifetime experience, she was right on. You have to see it to get the idea. Online pictures can't do it a bit of justice.

Opening scene: amazing singer with such a powerful voice starts off the song "Circle of Life". A huge lifelike sun rises. Life sized animals walk down the aisles just feet away. All the animals gather onstage and bow down to the new lion cub just born. I was crying 2 minutes into the show. It was AMAZING. When I described it to my grandmother she said, "That just almost sounds unreal." I said, "It was."

Saying "thank you" to Deda seems so inadequate to express how much we enjoyed it and how much we appreciated her taking us. But, for what it's worth, THANK YOU! We could not have had a better time (or better seats!).

I took tons of pictures, as promised. Kacie has more I'm sure she'll post so click on the link to her blog under my "favorite sites" section to see more! Here are some favorites of the night (courtesy of my fabulous new camera--thanks again, honey!):

What great memories from that night! I can't wait to take my kids to see it and watch their faces in pure amazement! Thanks again, Deda. You're THE BEST. We love you so much!

lol. wouldn't you know that no one took a full length picture of us that night? It was knee length. I loved it--minus sitting on itchy tulle for 3 hours. :)
