First Real Haircut

I've trimmed Drew's hair twice in the past few months, but I'm not too prideful to know I can't REALLY cut hair; we finally decided Saturday was the day to dig in our heels and turn our little boy into a big boy. Here was the problem. Most of our phone conversations with salons went something like this:

Them: Hello this is _____ salon.
Me: Hi. I wondering if you guys cut toddlers' hair.
Them: (Silent pause) Well....I guess we could try if he sits still.

Seriously, I had FOUR salons tell me they could cut his hair if he could sit still. That let me know right there that they were NOT accustomed to cutting toddlers' hair. I finally found someone who didn't bat an eyelash at cutting a 13 month old's hair.

He did great! He played with a comb, hair clips, the hair stylist's apron, a book, a remote, and a sucker. But by the time the haircut was almost finished, he wanted DOWN! It's a smidge crooked in the front, but we'll take it. Oh, and Drew loves it 'cause his hair doesn't tickle his ear anymore!

Before. I should have taken a picture of the back since it was the worst. He was pretty much sporting a mullet.

After! A big boy!

Fun! That's great that he did so well. And get ready, it looks like he has really straight hair like Tate. I have to take him to get a haircut every 6-7 weeks. So find somewhere you like...you may be going a lot. :)

Your son is such a cutie!!! I don't blame you one bit for not going to any of those salon's. How crazy is that?
