Catching up on Scrapbooking

I just finished months 1 and 2 tonight...just in time for month 8 to roll around the corner. Alas, I'm behind still!

So I lack months 3, 4, 5, & 7. Gotta catch up!


I know a lot of people prefer to type their scrapbooking material, but I'd rather have it handwritten. It's much more personal that way.


I like this one!


Not crazy about this one. However, I think the simplicity looks "okay" when it's placed next to the main page. I was fresh out of ideas.

Oh and don't get the idea I'm actually up-to-date on scrapping. I skipped months 1-5 cause I could readily recollect the likes and dislikes of month 6. I just like to mix things up like that. ;)

It's Been A While

...which means you're in for a lot of reading if you're bored!

We are truly being blessed. I won yet another contest--specifically, the 18 music CD one I posted about previously. The Lord truly showers his blessings! My husband jokingly begged that he wanted to take me to the casino!

In pregnancy related news, THIS CHILD IS HUGE! (I can hear it from all the moms out there: "Just wait, he gets bigger before delivery!") Very comforting. Thank you. It's amazing the shapes into which my abdomen can contort. Oblong. Pointed. He is still breech. His little head is exactly where it was last week! Turn, baby, turn! It's been recommended to me that swimming can help babies turn somehow. If I don't find someone with a pool, I just may be the redneck with a blow up pool in my backyard. Put a fat, white whale in the pool and man--the paparazzi will be swarming to see the crazy lady! I've also heard of lying on an ironing board and having someone lift your feet up with the end of the board. Maybe the heavier head then floats to the top? Who knows! I can totally see myself falling off the board and breaking an arm. Explaining THAT to my friends at the ER would be totally embarrassing. I'd have to go elsewhere and come up with a new story. I digress. But my newsletters really do say these things!

I'm making a montage for a scrapbook page, and it's amazing to see the transformation of the belly from week 6 to now!

I had a WONDERFUL shower at our church in Senatobia this past Sunday. To say that my family and these brothers and sisters are overly generous would be an understatement. We got everything. Travel system, bath seat, electronic swing, monitors, clothes, decorations, a play yard, activity mats, and money to go towards the camcorder just to name a handful of items! I spent over 2 hours cutting little plastic tags off clothes and towels last night. His room is PACKED FULL of stuff. Oh how I wish the upstairs were finished at this point! We were really gung-ho about putting all the cool toys together on Sunday night. After we did, we realized we had nowhere to store it set up for the time being, so we took most of it half way apart and put it away for now. It's all still very exciting though!

Kacie & Judd came up for the shower this weekend. I always LOVE seeing them! We all went to mom & dad's house on Saturday night to eat fried fish. Yum! Thank you guys for coming. It meant a lot!



I FINALLY started scrapbooking. Please be gentle with me! It's my first time, and I'm not extremely creative. However, it was a great time filler.





We celebrated my mom's birthday on Sunday! Someone even sneaked in a present from Drew with "I love Grandma" on it without his parents knowing! Sneaky little relatives. ;) Happy Birthday, Mom. We love you sooo much!!


Speaking of Mom, she and I are headed to Gould's Day Spa and Salon this Friday! That massage and pedicure is calling for me! I can't wait--my first to have either! Thanks Andrew and Heather!

Dryer buzzes. Must go hang more adorable, soft baby clothes! This is the only laundry I DON'T mind doing. ;) Have a very blessed day!

Cleveland Shower and Greenville Visit

Kacie and Judd had a shower on Sunday in Cleveland, giving us a great reason to visit Andrew's mom in Greenville for the weekend. We left on Friday, shopped on Saturday and got great Christmas presents (yay me for starting early!), and showered on Sunday. We had a really good time getting away from the traffic and noise and being out in the country for a while with family and friends.

Funny story about my silly husband. I bought a shirt (pictured in Kacie's shower pictures below) about 2-3 weeks ago. The checker left the ink device on my shirt. You know, the one that basically says, "Messing with this ink device can cause damage to your garment. Do not screw around with it." I only discovered it was still attached when I put it on for her lingerie shower last week. I told Andrew on Friday I was going to take it back, and he decided he would try to get it off himself. I guess it really intimidated him because he hardly touched the thing. I know why now. Since I ripped my pinki toenail off as we were leaving Friday (ewww, I know) he was going to take it inside for me. As he was getting out he said, "Don't these things explode when you walk through the door?" What?? "Doesn't this ink thing explode at the door?" Wow. Explode. ha ha ha! No, honey. If it didn't explode when I was leaving with it, it won't explode when you return with it. I can't believe he's actually always thought they exploded. Sorry. Funny husband moment. He's better off in the deer stand than the mall. I admit it. ;) (Love you, dear)

Ms. Debbie has been scrapbooking around a year now. She's so creative! Look at the most recent page she made. I'm trying to convince her to frame it on the wall.


One highlight of the weekend was Saturday night's 45 minute bonfire. I say 45 minutes because that's how long it burned. We roasted those weenies fast. The gnats and mosquitoes were so horrible that night that I'll probably come down with West Nile next week. Either way, Trey, Megan, Hallie, Ethan, and Marty came over to have hot dogs and smores. I found out one positive thing about children is you always have constant entertainment...and exercise! We got lots of cute pictures...








So much fun! We got up early on Sunday and went to church with Judd's family at the Bolivar church of Christ. The singing was beautiful! We had lunch with his family, then headed out to the shower. It was held at the Baugh's gorgeous home out in the country. Beautiful! She got so much great stuff. It was a blast.
